Default 1999 Civic D16y8 JRSC

I have a JRSC for a 88-90 Civic/CRX. I have read up on here that I MIGHT need a different intake manifold for the 1999 D16y8 head. Can anyone confirm this?

My other question is the supercharger pulley. On the 99 D16y8 is it a 4 rib or 3 rib pulley on the alternator or the crank pulley?

Thanks in advance - I have searched and found limited information.

JRSC REPLACED the intake manifold IIRC....

1. Yes you will need a different manifold. You can run a 99-00 manifold on an earlier motor if you plug the air injection holes, but not vice versa. Two words: vacuum leak.

2. As stated, I believe it's a 3-rib belt on the 3-rib blower pulley, 4-rib alt pulley, and 4 rib crank pulley. You have to make sure your pulley and belt alignment is sharp and the belt tension is sufficient. I had trouble with my JRSC before where the 3-rib belt would hop ribs on the 4-rib pulleys. Pretty annoying.

Honestly, why bump a thread that was bumped with my response 9 minutes ago?
