alternator and/or battery help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
something is wrong, my alternator wont charge my battery, i think this only happened b/c 2 days before, i was playing my system without having the engine on, yeah i noe stupid...but my car runs now, juss the battery is weak n is hard to start up...is dere anyway of fixing an alternator, or do i hav to buy a new one, and is now a time to invest in a CAP? if so what brand? thanks
i will NEVER leave my system on without having the engine on any more...well rite now, i am charging my battery at home, but yesterday i brought it out to a local car parts store, and they tested my car with some handheld thing, by connecting to the battery and he told me to start my engine...and he said that my alt. will last for about 1 month?, just a moment ago, my dad started up my engine like it was normal? im clueless!! so im juss gonna charge it up rite now n see what happens next, well would suggest me to invest in a cap? so it wont drain my battery too much?
I tried the more primitive way of disconnecting the battery ground when the car was running. If the car dies, it's the alternator. It didn't, so I replaced the battery with a deep-cycle SVR50-12, which is designed for Civic and Integras.

It's a battery designed to fit in place of the factory one under the hood. It has more CCAs and can deep cycle which it can completely drain and have no memory of it.
im probably going to go buy a new battery today, if i cant find the one your talking about i might juss go ahead and get interstate
