prepping your car for paint? noob question
so this is the thing...to be honest, i know absolutely nothing about painting, let alone, body work itself...i'm reading forums about maako paint jobs, yeah i heard they suck...who hasn't? but then i see some of their jobs and it doesn't look that bad...i'm people are right...u get what u pay for u kno? so this is the thing...everyone is sayin sure get maako to spray ur car, but make sure YOU do the prepping...now i honestly don't know what to do for prepping....i dont' even know what prepping is...so what is it? what do i need for it? what do i need to do? how long will it take and is it expensive? and last but not least, since i know **** about prepping, or body work, is it wise for me to prep my car myself for it to be sprayed...or just have maako do it since they at least know what to do? any comment will help...thanks a lot
i can see cracks in the paint...and see 2 dents on my body...one on the driver side door, and one on the right quarterpanel...the paint is starting to peel in some spots...but its mostly cracks in itself...i hate the paint job....looks like a shitty one...what do i need to do to prep it for spray?
if you feel like the current job is an **** then i would suggest you to take it to the metal, you can stripe it with chemical or sand it with D/A
dont leave any old finish in once you know part of it is already failing.

macco doesn't prep car that worth a jack sh-t(esp when you pay for the economy sh-t job)
all they do is run it over with 300 and say a prayer to the adhesion god and wish the new crap will sticks.
if you have no idea what you doing, we can show you. but if you don't like hardwork and sanding. stop thinking you can prep a car, it's alot of dirty **** work and sanding. do something else if you don't feel like doing that.

Drugs are bad.
Try to find someone to paint it on the side, if you prep it.
