Default What bolt ons or easy mods is there left to do? 00 Civic Si

I have a 2000 Civic si (90k miles) with AEM SRI, JDM ITR header, WS2 catback, and a CTR Intake cam.

I am planning on getting a chipped p28 soon. That is good for what? 10-15hp on average?

How about a test pipe? Do they help or not since it has less back pressure?

I want to do some simple mods, nothing to serious. I don't really plan on keeping the car for much longer so I dont want to invest TOO much.

get a hytech replica header, upgrade your intake manifold/throttle body then get it tuned most bang for you buck IMO and how come EVERY new person always has a 99-00 civic si wtf

you could lose some weight on your car.

you could look into porting your head and intake manifold.

yeah .get a better flow intake manifold .such as oem itr intake manifold and skunk2 is an inmitation of itr's. i have an oem itr intake manifold and bored it to 68mm and a skunk2 68mm throttle body, but i installed them when i built the whole engine.and got it tuned afterwards.
but simply for bigger intake manifold and bigger TB , u dont need to get it tuned, cause fuel and air ratio is not off. i would say 10 hp gains tops. here is the comparison of jdm p30 sir2 TB & intake manifold vs itr p73 intake manifold and skunk2 68mm TB and the pic below is actually taken by me

Just get it tuned after doing all this, a chipped p28 is just going to be a basemap until you get it properly tuned.

Get the other CAM and then mod your head gasket, or get a new one to bump compression. Could also swap pistons. Go with a ported intake manifold and throttle body then get the whole thing dyno tuned.

I'm in this same process

OP: Well then..why mod the car? Aren't you just wasting money? It's like wanting to break up with a girl but buying her a necklace. WTF for?

You're not investing. You're SPENDING. An investment is something you get a bigger return on. Nobody's gonna pay you more than blue book for the car because you have it modded...and even if they do, you're most likely never gonna get even close to your money back.

If you simply insist on modding the car further, the intake manifold and a tuneable ECU will net some decent gains. Since you dont have the bigger cam tuned, you may see an increase of about 10-15 hp AFTER tuning (with all your parts included + the intake manifold).

Iduno. Put an air freshener and some ridiculous looking headlight bulbs in it. Like one blue one and one yellow one. That will keep you occupied.

forced induction
sell your soon to be useless bolt-on junk and put it towards piecing together a quality turbo setup.

Why forget the IM and TB? Hondas gain a shitload of power in the induction side of the motor.

A test pipe gains maybe 2-3hp with the bolt on setup that he has. His car will pollute, smell bad, and sound like ****. Not worth it, IMO.

A type R MAP? Or a type R ECU map (as in fuel map)?

a type R MAP is the same as a regular *** MAP. It's just a sensor that tells the ECU the intake manifold pressure. It only tells the truth unless it's broken....so...replacing just the MAP would make no sense/difference.
