changing my radiator support
well the one I want to replace has a bunch of holes drilled from god knows what and its a lil mangled because of a lil accident.
my miata got a little banged up so i'm going to be doing something similar.
i think to best answer your question you need to stop thinking of it as a radiator core support and simply see it as some thing that holds your hood latch, part of your headlights, and yes, your radiator in place.
so let's think of it outside of the context of a car and think what can you attach stuff to.
the answer? other stuff.
seriously though, it's not a structural piece and you can make one out of some welded piece of tubing, round rod, etc, or make it out of fiberglass or legos, or lincoln logs.
i think you see where i am going with this. it's fairly useless and over engineered so make something less complicated.
good luck.

when i did my eg i welded it in myself because i have a welder at my house but on mine the fender bolts and bumper support will hold it in fine

that has to be the dumbest thing ive read in Weld/Fab
holds your hood latch? part of your headlights?
i seriously hope your kidding.

i tell you what. why don't you take a stab at explaining in more detail what you're having trouble with and that just might point me in the right direction in how to address your concerns.
for starters, i was obviously kidding with the legos and lincoln logs (if you couldn't see the sarcasm in that I think helping you is going to be beyond my capabilities) but some of it i was serious about.
so if you don't mind let me know what you are referring to so i can answer with something other than a general statement.

you just speak of the radiator support like it means nothing is it.
while not 'structural' it is a very important part of your front end.
i sensed the sarcasm, but it still seemed like a rather ignorant post

piece of swaure tubing, drill t boles in it use 2 pieces of psare wleding elxtrode to hold it in place.
clean the ends..............tack..........either run full bead or get a spot welder (would;nt recommend it since you probably know how to weld since you're in here)
drill out and remove the flanges for the bottom of the rad or fab your own out of sheet.
it really isnt ha hard process.............................it's not even a big job......the hardest part is finding someone who isnt a panzy to hold it in place LOL
my freinds always complain about splatter (i get covered in it everyday!)

come on man. my post was dripping with sarcasm.
i'll reiterate my point sans sarcasm that way if you or someone else disagrees we can discuss the issue at hand instead of the way it was explained.
a few important components attach themselves to the radiator core support but it's not a vital piece related to structural rigidity nor is it a particularly significant part of the frame in terms of energy absorption during an accident in any accident of significance.
the fact that it is welded in on some cars leads plenty of people to think it's more significant than it is. on some cars it is more vital than others but on a civic or integra, which i assume the OP is talking about, not so much. it seems daunting replacing a part that you think is so significant. the point i was trying to make was that you should stop thinking of it as being so important and understand that the fact that it is made of metal and welded in is best thought of in cost to benefit ratio terms from the manufacturers perspective. in other words, it is cheap and easy to have that piece robotically welded in as you are making the rest of the unibody, but just because it is installed in the same way and resembles other more significant pieces of the unibody, does not mean that this piece is actually that significant.
if you don't have the welding skills but you do own some basic tools and a little imagination you can make something equally suitable with less effort than doing it "the right way" or more specifically the way a body shop would.
... ehh, i take it all back, i litterally meant that it should be made of legos.
