i just got a megan racing header for mi 04 LX and it came with only one gasget which is for the part wher it screws on to the motor. now does it need the second gasget for the bottom one??

 

It came with the manifold gasket, but not the donut for the b-pipe. Well, you're going to need that donut for a proper seal.

and with your car being an LX like mine you either
A. need a test pipe to fit on the b pipe or
B. get a EX downpipe
C. get a high flow random TECH cat also!

 

i have the same header. your right it didnt come with the donut, i was pissed about this also. take it to a muffler shop and try to have them find a donut that fits, dont re-use OEM (it also wont fit) and dont try to guess it. DO NOT LET A MUFFLER SHOP DO THE WORK FOR YOU.. they tried to charge me 60$ just to find the donut, and put it on.

mine came with gaskets new bolts,the DONUT etc and its great

 

if you dont use the donut and you use the smaller gasket for the bottom part is there any difference in sound or is it all the same?

 

Just go to Schucks and get one. If need be, have someone drive you there. Just take your header with you and match one up if OEM is the wrong size.
