Default hard shifting

it was hard shifting into gears so i changed my tranny fluid to HG MTF and it didnt help ... now its getting even harder to change gears but theres is no grinding noise. im pretty sure it shouldnt be like this, but is it normal with this type of shift linkage versus a cable system?

check your shift linkage bushings and also make sure the linkage isnt bent.

Here's a wild guess, your clutch disc is bad. The spring may have popped out and is stuck between the disc and pressure plate causing it hard to get into gears.

Im having this same problem. all within the last couple months ive put a new clutch in, new cmc and slave cylinder, mtf has been flushed several times, ive looked over the linkage.. my hard shifting will come and go. i can shift through the gears fine some times smooth as butter, then all of the sudden it will feel like total slop going into gear. I want to hope that its just some air in my system, but ive bled it out several times.. this is starting to get frusterating

This just happend to me a couple days ago. The cheapo clutch that was installed before i bought my dc2 had this slice of metal fall out when it was pulled apart. the metal chunks would wedge between the disc and plate and cause all sorts of issues, shaking on take off, hard shifting etc. Bought a new Exedy stage 1 clutch kit and resurfaced my flywheel. Drives like a dream now.

yeah i had that problem with my old transmission. i switched it out and gave my old one to a friend that rebuilds transmission. he told me that when he opened up my old transmission the bearings were pretty much gone and he could really only salvage the housing.
