Need HELP!! Restoring old wheels..
Just recently got some rims shipped from Japan. The paint on the rims was peeling and oxidated. So I stripped the paint in attempt to restore the rims. After stripping the paint, I've found some build-ups that I was unable to remove with household chemical like Simple Green, Lime/Calcium removers, etc. Has anyone successful did this themselves and have an answer to remove it? I like how the rims are with the paint stripped, so I decided not to repaint them. Thanks.
Here are some pictures so you'll know what I'm talking about.

Isn't that something the shop would do? I'm looking for a solution possibly I can do myself..thanks!

it is corrosion, you'll have to blast them to get it off. or you can wetsand yourself but plan on painting them afterwards to cover the scratches & blend in with the rest of the wheel. use some 400 grit
