6th day after lowering
As I said in my earlier post, the first day after I dropped my car, they are comptech springs(1.25") all around and Tokico Illuminas. I thought the front will need some time to settle down cause of the heavy engine to spring load rate.
I have a question about wheel alignmnt. Some mechanics told me since I only had a 1.25" drop I don't need a wheel alignment. The reason they said that is because when I(they) drove my car down a straight and even flat road, my steering wheel stayed in the middle all the time. It didn't steer or pull to either side. When I'm driving in the freeway, I don't feel any uneven pulls/steers to either side. The driving is very smoothe and no tension on the wheel. Can you guys explain this?

springs take awhile to settle. the springs on my prelude didn't finish till they'd been on a month. that was about 6000 miles too.
it's always a good idea to get an alignment after you lower a vehicle. even if nothing else is off, your camber will at least be close to the furthest manufacturer spec. if you aren't autoxing or tracking your car on a regular basis, you'll want less negative camber to save your tires.

hmm, the comptech springs are dope quality, dont they have a higher spring rate on the dirvers side to acount for the drivers weight....
in fact, yes the comptech spring does have a higher spring rate on the driver's side. So far I could only slip 1.5 fingers in the rear wheel gaps, It was 2.5 the first 2 days after lowering. The front ones has 2.0 finger gaps now, and it's still wanting to drop lower
. The combo feels really good, nice and comfortable. I left the shocks at Normal setting which is at 3. Not too stiff and Not too soft, just feeling right.

looks good. My front end settled in a few days. The heavy engine took care of it. The back took a month. I was glad I had coilovers then too, because I just lowered the front to match my taste perfectly.

You still need an alignment to correct toe-in. Toe and camber both change whenever a change in ride height is made. My car also drove straight after lowering, but my toe-in was still off. Get your toe adjusted to within spec and your tires will thank you (keep the rotated often and you won't need a camber kit).
