just bought a 1990 hatch which over heats blows white smoke and had no heat it just blow cold air. the motor runs strong. the person i bought it from said he compression tested it and it got 160 across the board. it's also a 98 civic. motor with the dpfi intake and a pace setter header. if it's a head gasket i need to do the head in one day, so any help would be great.

Check the coolant level. Sounds like you need to bleed the coolant system.
