clutch feeling
so lately idk i think my clutch is startin to wear out cuz its just not feeling the same anymore...basically i feel like its easing up and not as stiff as it was before or something...now besides it wearing out, idk what else could cause this...what do you guys think...yeah i'm 17 years old...its my first car, so basically idk what a fresh clutch and a worn out clutch feels like...need help pls...thanks a lot
do you hold your foot on the cluch when your at a light. i think that the pressure plate is bad in mine. i had just bought a 95 gsr. my cluch is very soft. but it grabs low.
now basically i watch the other light and see when it turns red...right before it turns red...i put it in first and then hold the clutch for a little until it turns green...i'd say maybe 4 - 6 seconds is how long i hold it at a light...before my clutch catch low, but now i gotta release it more to for the gears to catch if that makes sense...what do you think it is?
I had a similar problem in my teg also..
My clutch started feeling very soft.. and engaging/disengaging different at different points..
I checked my clutch fluid reservoir and the fluid was near empty.. Which is common with honda's and acuras..
The clutch master cylinder tends to leak around the seal up around the clutch pedal.. which will need to be replaced..
Check to see around the top of the clutch pedal inside the car to see if you see any fluids around there..
Check your clutch fluid.. and if it needs to be topped off.. top it off with dot 3 or dot 4 brake fluid..
Then try bleeding your clutch..
there's a 8mm nut on the slave cylinder.. same process as bleeding brakes..
