So my b16 came in yesterday (yay :D ) but when i got it all unwrapped i checked it out and there are a few problems that looked like they occured during shipping. I dont have the actual pics of the engine right now cause its at my parents house... but i need to know the names of these highlighted things so i can let the seller know whats up

1. The top left circle is around a red braided line that obviously had a metal core, since a small piece of the core snapped out of the rest of the hose and is still lodged in the port... its gonna be a real pain in the *** to remove methinks

2. The next one down is a plate attatched to aspring on my throttle body with a hose attatched. THe plate has broken cleanly in half... dont know what it is though (n00b)

3. Somewhere in that area attatched to a shaft coming out the forward facing end of my engine there is a rubber half bushing looking thing with a rubber outer ring. where the outer ring meets the bushing is torn off on both sides.

I will get the actual pics ASAP, but i was hoping someone oculd help me with this info'

u dont need number 2 usless! what do u mean by number 1 if there is something in the hose then it is no big deal u dont need that hose or port anyway it just goes to the charcol canaster. i cant tell what the third thing is. but u might be able to get something back sence it is messed up even no u dont need it but that is not my point they should have noted that to u.

 

The first two things can be removed and where the hoses were, cap them off. The third looks like either A/C hose or PS hose, if they are damaged then use the ones from the car that you have. That stuff should be taken off anyway.
