Default Pro Series IM....

Just installed the the Skunk2 pro series IM....next is to buy cams and tuned.....i've read alot on others experience with installing this car. i've not had one vacuum leak or any problems with the car, not much noticeable power untill 5-6k but definently a gain. if anyone plans to install one on a GSR and has any questions, i'll be glad to help!!!

Is this statement from a highly calibrated assometer or a dyno? Is there any quantitative data supporting this?

oh believe me, it's the assometer (i'll be using this term a lot now, thank you). Felt like I gained 10hp up top when I first had it. But felt like I lost 10hp down low.

I'm guessing the OP has an untuned ECU with that new IM with VTEC still at 4400 RPM. The perception is that there is a gain between 5-6k RPM, when in reality it it is simply a loss that is no longer occurring. This coincides with where the IAB would normally transition. Even Skunk2 doesn't show a dyno for that IM and the stock cams. Ever wonder why?

yessir.

With a chipped p28, you'd see even more increase on the assometer.
