Default non-staggered 17x9 front and rear....what offset?

i am going to be running non staggered.

17x9 front and rear with 255/40/17 Advans or Azenis tires

my question is what offset to run.

i know 17x9 +63 would fit on the front and rear without much modding to fenders or rolling, BUT i want something more aggressive

i will most likely run VOLK CE28N rims

i plan to roll the crap out of the front and rear or possibly do J's Racing wide fronts and rear overlays

could i run 17x9 +40 front and rear with the rolling or will i need something wider?

need some suggestions

also, i dont plan to run anymore than -2 camber in front and -3 in rear

ill be running VERY aggressive coilovers with 16k springs front and rear as well.

thanks

matt

If you're going to roll the fenders and such, the 40's should work. If you want to be safe, go with the 45 offset.

go with the 40...

17x9 +45

Rear need to be rolled or have the inner lip cut out (which is what I'm doing) and the front needs to be rolled to the max (or flared, depending on your ride height). I'm getting +10 CF flared fenders because I expletiveed mine up. I had them rolled and then the inner lip just popped out when I turned too hard.

Running -3.5 camber in back, -2.6 in front. Might have to camber the front in more.

255/40/17 in rear
225/40/17 in front

You will have to run stretched if you are going to use a low offset like +38 unless you get your fenders flared.

I picked up some SSR Supermesh's and are going to powdercoat them black let me know what's up because i'm lowered on cut springs and someone told me that i need to pick up some coilovers to make the rims fit and get my fenders rolled. hella confused about this

1. dont spam my thread with stupid questions and pics that are unrelated to title
2. cut springs FTL
3. 17x7 in the rear is too narrow for the s2k, will handle like ****

anyone have a non staggered setup with at least 235mm front and rear tires have anything useful to add to thread?

I wouldn't run 235 front and rear. You should at least go with a 245. You've already stated you're going to be rolling the fenders (front and rear). The +40's will work.

9+40 is indeed an aggressive set up with 255's all around but of course you will be needing fender mods such as rolled and pulled front, rolled and pulled rear, relocation of rear bumper tab, and - negative camber all around. You can also run a 245-45-17 for a thicker side wall action. I believe stinky tofu is running that as his track set up.

I think that it would be best if you run a 17x9 +54 all around, just to have the extra half inch + for more clearance. The face designs are still similar but this will get you the clearance that you need.

But if it was my car of course, I'd run the 9+40 because it looks a lot better

would the J's Racing front fenders be able to handle a 17x9 +40 in the front no problem?

They should fit easily. They're +10 mm right?

I have a friend up here thats running 17x9 Volk CE28's with 255/40/17 RA1's. He doesn't have any flares or anything, but they do stick out in the front. He rolled the fronts and cut out the lip in the rear. Hope that helps

The J's Blister fenders will clear night and day with a 255-40. It shoots out another 20mm/40mm if not mistaken but with this fender, the 9+40 wheel will be sunk in and will not look aggressive.

haha nice! You can do that but your front will be alot more aggressive than your rear lol.

**Note: J's Fender is 40mm on each side**

if i do the J's overfenders in the rear, do you cut the rear fender to make them wider or how do they work?

i will do the same wheel and offset and tire for the front and the rear.

so i guess i would need to roll and pull the **** out of the rear or get wide rear fenders or flares or something.....?

the more aggressive, the better, but i want it drivable and im going to keep the car pretty low

In order for you to put full use of the j's/asm over fender, you will indeed need to cut your rear quarter panel. If you just bolt it up as is, it will not have no function to it whatsoever. More of a just a bling factor, but if you do cut it, it should give close to 1/2 inch more clearnace (10mm)
