how do i know if i have a manual or auto y8 intake manifold????? help
also in doing that swap over to a d16y7 is the only thing needed is to change the throttle body rotor and spring from y7 to y8 throttle body? i also here about having to change the throttle cable bracket. im upgrading manifold on cousins car and a lil unsure what needs to be changed or swapped from manifold to manifold. he has a full complete y7 manifold obviously and he bought a full y8 manifold with all parts in tach.
ive serched but came up with nothig as far as pics. i hear you have to block off something if its a manual intake manifold, does anyone have pics of what that is that need to be blocked off, or pics of the whole diy process?
any help would be appreciated, there might be a post somewhere im sure but i just kind find the right one as detailed s im looking for. if there is a link can someone guide me with that link of detailed decription process

The y8 throttle bracket is completely different than the y7.
Also, the manifold discrepancy doesn't concern auto/manual versions, it concerns OBD2-A (96-98) and OBD2-B (99-00) versions. Do an archived search for "air injection."

Hopefully you have an OBD2-A version so you don't have to fool with any of that.
