Default Circuit breakers

I own a 94 accord ex and have managed to screw up the instrument cluster somehow. I read somewhere that there are cicuit breakers in the car that have to manually be switeched. Does anyone know where these circuit breakers are and is there a special tool used to flip them? Also does anyone know where the ingnition relay switch is, and what exactly it looks like??

circuit breakers are used in high voltage situations in houses and building. cars use FUSES.

There two fuse boxes on your car. One is under the left side of the dash behind the left kick panel. The other is under the hood on the right side behind the shock tower. Like exaccord said, there are no circuit breakers.

cars do have circuit breakers. unless the manuals are incorrect.... according to haynes there are circuit breakers though. some reset automatically and some are reset manually. fuses and circuit breakers. i'm thinking the problem might have to do with the ignition switch. like i asked earlier, does anyone know where its located and what it looks like???

Well let's see here. A relay uses low current to switch a high current circuit on and off. A circuit breaker just cuts a high current circuit off. I meant they are similar in that reguard.

Yes, it acts as a remote switch. A circuit breaker opens the circuit if it detects too much current. A relay does not.

Some cars may have circuit breakers, Hondas do not. If your manual says you have them it should tell you where they are located. Right?

If you mean the electrical portion of it, it's on the ignition switch on the steering column. You have to remove the upper and lower steering column covers to get to it. It has 4 or 5 large wires going to it.

Exactly what things have blown out? If it's the gauges, it could be the backup switch relay.

Explain in detail what is not working.

The speedo is working. The tach isnt working. the odometer isnt working. the fuel gauge isnt working, and the temp gauge isnt working. also when i turn the key one click the power windows and moonroof will operater. also a couple of lights on the dash will light up. currently nothing except the battery light comes on when i turn the key. the car starts and runs. but the guages or dash lights wont come on. the seatbelt light doesnt even come on anymore.

Check your backup light fuse (either #1 or #4, I don't remember). It's quite possible that the backup relay has a faulty ground or something to that extent.
