Purpose of extended studs??
I hope im in the right forum. I bought rear disc brakes for my 95 hatch, and a wheel stud was busted. Am planning to buy some new ones, but want to know if extended studs are better or what their purpose was for?? Aesthetics?? Thanks...
personally, i find myself taking my wheels of and on a lot to work on my car, and the extended lugs i got don't cross thread as easily as the stock ones.
also a lot of people need them to fit wheels with a higher offset, as i did when i use the ep rims i have.
the rears are simple to swap out, all you need is a hammer(sledge works best) to pop the old ones out, then just feed the new ones through, and use an open ended stud to seat them.

Thanks. I figure that the extended studs are mostly for the front, drag rims and whatnot. I got the studs off easily, hammer and about 1 minute. I don't figure to have rims with huge offset, stock integra rims, and no drag racing in my future. Thanks again for the insight.
