My CRX with b16, gets a CEL in reverse sometimes.. but thats not my problem..

Today i went out to start it, went to my work, left work, and as I started it to leave, the check engine light came on as the engine started...

I didnt think much of it, until i started in motion, the engine wouldnt go passed 3k.. so I stopped on the side of the road, cut the engine, waited a few minutes, started up and the CEL was not on.. and the engine ran fine.

This same thing also happend later in the day...

What do you think this code is? How do i find out what code it is throwing.. Thanks.. and sorry for the long and general question.

 

What code is the Ecu throwing? Count how many times the light blinks on the ECU. Also there could be more than one code being thrown so make sure to read it at least twice.

 

Oh also, what model CRX do you have?

is it under the passanger area?

Yes it's under the passenger area. The carpet right underneath the dash. Just lift it up and you'll see the ECU there. Count how many times the red light blinks and then let me know. Also I have an HF too and I just disconnected the reverse light from the butt connectors. You won't have the clear reverse lights when you're going backwards but you won't have a CEL either.
