Default VERY high idle with the iacv hooked up wtf!?!?!?

ok i just got it running and noticed that the iacv was not hooked up at all, i hooked it up but i have a idle around 3500 now, is this a bad iacv or what please help

EDIT this is in my 97 coupe which has a b18b, im running a obd2 engine harness and a obd1 ecu(p75) with the proper jumper harness.

Any codes? Unplug the MAP sensor and see what happens.

map sensor is attached on top of the throttle body and try to clean iacv with brake cleaner.

could be your FITV(fast idle thermo valve) which is normally located under the tb... might try to check the diy's on here and clean them both out, east step and won't hurt only help even if its not the problem

i dont think this engine has one all iit has on the tb is the tps and the map, and it has the iacv and the ais on the intake thats it, i do have just a peice of hose going from the pvc valve to the breather that might be leaking do you think this could cause the high idle there also might be some air in the system!!
