Default LSD manufacturers

Are there any other LSD manufactures who produce 1 -way units other than OEM or Quaife?

Would it be possible to convert clutch systems like ATS 1.5Way or Kaaz 1.5 to 1 way?

Cusco makes a 1 way LSD, actually theirs is user adjustable, you can take it apart and change it from 1 way to 1.5

ATS just released a 1 way cam ring. It comes with three cam angles - 45, 55 and 70 degrees. You can convert the existing 1.5 way LSD to 1.0 way with this cam ring kit or can purchase a complete 1 way standard or Super Silent LSD.

It is my understanding that a gear type or helical type LSD (like the one used for Integra type R) behaves like a 2 way clutch type LSD even though it is much milder.

No. Helical only works under acceleration. Friction from constantly meshed gears (as all Honda trannys are) isn't enough to make it work under decel.

Are you saying that a helical will behave like a stock open diff under deceleration?

Yes, and if one wheel is off the ground or with limited traction as in snow it will be just like an open diff. Helicals are not the best type of LSD's for racing, thats why Gear-X is coming out with a clutch type soon.

Partly correct. If one wheel doesn't have traction (snow, ice, etc) power is transferred to the other wheel (whereas an open diff sends power to the wheel without traction).
