Default When car is @ op. temp. it runs like crap! WTF!!!!!!!

Exactly as title states, jdm b18c gsr, after swap was done into a 94 teg, runs like crap on O.e ECU, yet a p28 chipped with a p72 program runs alot "better"....fairly new distributor 6mths or so/ fuel filter/wires/plugs all maybe have 15k...no engine lights on...___> in morning it runs good,WHEN COLD it pulls as it should, then from there all goes to hell....When stock ecu plugged in, vtec falls on its face.....when p28, runs ok, but as same with p72 THE TIMING FEELS LIKE ITS BEING RETARDED/OR NOT EVEN ADVANCING AS IT SHOULD WHEN M DRIVING< BUUUT ITS DEAD On @ 16degrees and does advance at idle when giving gas... all i can say is HELP! ----ps. tps is @ proper voltage.

the P28 does not have IAB support... are you running a Skunk2 IM?

By stock ECU you mean a P72 right?
which P72 are you using? (the three numbers behind the 37820-P72 on the side of the ECU)

so the IAB control circuitry was added to the P28 or it's simply tied to the VTEC output. (I'm always shocked to find out how many people think that setup will work well)
Just covering the basics

which JDM P72? (the 3 digits behind the 37820-P72-XXX)

keep in mind that the knock sensor in the P72 may be messing with you... the P28 doesn't have it. (unless that was added also)
A bad knock sensor or the wiring for it will cause serious ignition retard.

its a 37820-p72-003, i ordered the chip from PHEARABLE.net , the scondaries do work , when i unlpug the vacuum to the solenoid the stay open.plus u can hear them open thru the intake, i have a very quiet exhaust almost stock like.. and can differentiate the vtec and the opening of secondaries by sound.

O2 senor might be bad and not throwing a code. When the car is cold and the ECU is in closed loop, it doesnt look at the o2 for feedback. Once its warmed up, and looking at the sensor's info, it could be causing your problem. Also, alot of chipped ECU's dont throw codes.

has a brand new 02 semsor as of today, when the OE ecu is pluged in, even when running like crap, itt does not throw and ecu code....its a very difficult and persistant problem, a while back when it 1 started happening, all i had to do was rest my p28, and it would run hard for a few days then all of a sudden, same thing again, ive used 3 different ecus and same issue.

Try to replace your knock sensor or disable it via crome or what ever you use to tune

try switching out your ECT sensor. i've seen a few 90-93 accords have an identical complaint to yours, and this fixed it.

it's worth a try.

Easy fix

1. Remove Radiator cap
2. Put new vehicle underneath cap
3. Reinstall Radiator cap.
