I need some help FAST!
just swapped my b16a OBD-0 into my '89 crx started the car and its running funny...sounds like a wrx. anyways its throwing a code 4 crankangle code 14 electronic air control code 21 vtec solenoid valve.
now the code 4 is this the distributor? could the timing be off?
code 14 im not to sure either... a friend told me that i needed to switch the two wires around on the sensor. but i dont really know about that cuase the swap was pulled from my buddies ef hatch that was also a dx. so i pulled the whole engine harness and wired the 4 wires to the ecu as they were in his car for the mpfi swap.so thats why i dont get why is isnt just polug and play. are the '90 hatch dx model harness the same as my '89 crx harness?
and code 21 vtec solenoid??? i dunno its hooked up you tell me.

ok so ive done some searching and ive got a why better idea on how to approach this... im going to take the harnes i have off and use my old dx wiring harness to make a new one outta the old si harness. i understand all the wiring except the vtec part... so including the four wires coming into the ecu for the mpfi i will also need four wires coming to the ecu for the vtec? im about to move the car over to my buddies tomorrow and start wiring this thing so please anyone else help me out!
k... so the car is running but its still throwing a code 4 and it still sounds like a wrx or like its missing. ive tried adjusting the distributor and nothing changes. ive even pulled the plug wires while the car was runing and nothing changed. i think its my distributor. a buddy of mine told me that if its pre obd and throwing a code 4 then the distributor is bad and to replace it. is this true? can anyone please hit me back and let me know!
