Default changing piping

i got an apexi exhaust with full pipping on my teggy right now but the pipping is to big (its 2.75in) i dont like how it sounds rite now and its slowing down my car. Should i put the apexi exhaust on the stock pipping or should i jus go with pipping somewhere between stock size and 2.75. Also would i be better off just having the stock pipping with the stock exhaust.

(i jus have an intake rite now but my teggy is a work in progress)

What do you plan to do with the car? Are you gonna keep it all motor or go turbo with it? If you're going NA stick with at least 2.5 inch piping and if you decide to go turbo go with the 3 inch piping but don't put 3 inch piping on until you have the turbo and it's ready to go into the car.
