So...do I need a new front lower control arm? Bushing install gone bad?
So I thought I would attempt to remove my own crusted *** bushings and install new ones. Only problem is, my sawzall gouged part of the control arm. Please keep in mind this is not a racecar but I would like to make an decision with safety being my #1 concern. This is also the first time I have ever done this (dur)

Well I can honestly say I'd rather pay for a new used flca and know how to do this than had brought them to a machine shop and paid.

Have you tried installing the new bushing in? I would only be worried that it would cut the bushing, but i think that you might be able to get away with it without any problems. The bushing doesnt actually "rotate" inside of the flca, it just sits there, so if you can get it in without any problems, then i say go for it.

I haven't really done anything yet since I was worried about this. I guess I should file the edges of the gouge and go from there
