Default Bidding farewell to my EM2

Well, even though I've only had this baby since August of 07, it's time for me to bid farewell to her.... Oh boy I'm gonna miss the great 35+ mpg .

It's going to be sold this Friday for $7000 give or take a hundred or so...or all else fails, traded in..

You guys have been a great online community and resource for me (especially those in the SE Wisconsin area)!! Although I bid farewell, I will still check back periodically and assist as much as I can.

Getting into a ride exactly like below.....

2.4L DOHC!!

Thank you everyone for a nice half year with the H-T community so far!

I like the glass roof on those. Not sure I would like it in a roll over.

Sorry to see a fellow 7thgen member go, but the tc is a pretty good replacement, I get to drive my sister's 5spd tc once in a while and it's a great car for the money, lots of aftermarket support, good luck with the new car

they had a recall for that...

they installed a film on it...similar to a tint...thats supposed to support it in case of a rollover

I've driven a few TC's, and they're not for me. Hopefully you like it, though.

Yes indeed, I am fairly sad to see my 7thgen go too . As stated before, I will still snoop around on these forums periodically from time to time just to help out and add input etc etc...

The one I'm getting is a Spankin new, last in stock at a scion dealership, 2007 Scion tC with 108 miles on it. The special sticker price....get ready for this.. $15000. Today is THEIR lucky day (the 29th for leap year!) so they have one extra day in the last month of February to sell this sucker, I'm going to ask for $14000 or for a student discount program if they have it.

This is ONE of the main two reasons why I am switching. Yes I do know the gas mileage is gonna be a about 8-12 mpg less, but I'm willing to sacrifice some of that for the nice hp/tq gain. Another reason, I'll be starting two more internships in addition to mine right now, thus travelling is a big must for me in the near future. Thus, I will have little time to work on my EM2 and I must part ways to embrace another , great and reliable import car

i think i know what youre talkin about...

when i drive my girls tc, instead of havin a steady steering wheel, the freakin thing moves all over the place...in other words the shitty pavement makes the steering wheel turn.

its scary going at high speeds, you dont feel in control at all...

That, more or less, covers most of my feelings for the car. The lack of brake power, body weight causing massive understeering, and overall car "flex" are other points I'd bring to light. But, to be honest, the interior is extremely comfortable. And, if you're driving a lot, it is a great car for the commuter.

we sit the brownies on the engine and close the hood so they bake, while we play scrabble and twister...

left knee passenger seat
right knee driver seat
elbows rear seat

i almost bought a tC but i couldn't stand the interior....

the dashboard, steering wheel and seats all felt really cheap....i'm surprised toyota didn't put more bolstering on those seats....

the tC is a nice car but overall it still feels very toyota boring....
