OBD2 IAT Sensor's Wires?

the reason why I'm asking is because a friend of mines have a code 10 for the "IAT" intake air temperature sensor. And on his 96-98 EK HB, the plug that is plugged up to his IAT is a solid GREEN & then BLACK 2 wire plug. I double checked where the wire was leading to... to see if it had any loose connections.. and it didn't.
