B18c in a 2000 civic si what ecu?
Hey guys,
I have a 2000 civic si that has a b18c swap in it. It is still running the stock ecu for the original engine which was a b16a2. Wondering if I should change it out to a different ecu? Which ecu should I use?

It would help to switch ecu's because those two motors have different base maps. I dont know if you would feel the difference but it would help. The usdm gsr's (b18c1) have P72's, dont know which ecu runs the jdm b18c.

Imagine that... I vote for an entire forum filled with nothing but stickies.

shhhh, don't tell them. The immobilizer is always a fun surprise.
all though the JDM ECUs do not have it... but they're OBD2a and don't scan using USDM scan tools.

hit search (top right in red)
enter P72 ECU OBD1 in the search box
select the marketplace - for sale forum
select post bodies
press next
or
go to ebay
type in P72 OBD1 and press search
stay clear of the chipped ECUs
Why are you searching for an OBD1 ECU? Do you have an OBD2b to OBD1 conversion harness?

Use your Si ecu and get a VAFC Vtec controller.
You Si ecu should be fine though. You may lose some power at places but you may gain some at places. Also get a skunk2 manifold to use the single runner.
