Default h22a4 running like crap

alright so im pretty new to this forum and also new to the dohc motors. right now i just ran into a problem that seems kind of serious. the car i have is an 94 honda accord with an h22a4 swap. im running a p28 with an h22 basemap chip. the chip has a 7500 rev limit, 4500 vtec engage, no egr, knoock sensor, speed sensor, and thats about all i can think of. lately my car has been having some crappy idle problems. at cold start the car will hold a rev at 2500 and the fitv seems to be taking a **** because when the car is warm is bottom hole on the throttle body still sucks air

also when i was at a stop light and started to roll the car seemed to be kind of sluggish. when i shifted into second gear and got upto 5500rpm the car acting like i was hitting the rev limit and the CEL came on. i didnt get the chance to pull the code because honestly im unsure how. so if someone can please chime in because this really worries me.

knock sensor

I don't know why you would remove that.

But it's most likely your problem.

i didn't remove it, when i bought my ecu (p28) the guy told me the knock sensor was removed in the programming. would that really cause this issue?

Yes.

No knock sensor = stumbling CEL light when VTEC comes on, etc.

I think the guy you bought it from didn't know what he was doing.

well im not as to who chipped the ecu i bought, but from what i've read the p28 ecu doesn't read the knock sensor. it hasn't done it during vtec but last night it happened at around 5000-6000rpm when my vtec engagement is 4500rpm. hmm this is pissing me off.

alright well here's what happened. i was sitting at the carwash and started my car. after the car warmed up something start to tick randomly with the idle in my steering column. then after a little of that the CEL came on and the cars idle started to jump. i jumped the service connector and it was solid the whole time but wen i was looking at something my gf said the light blinked once.

You need to source the stock ecu for that motor....I still don't understand why someone would remove the knock sensor..off of the original map.
