Default civic 97 exsuast help

thank you guys for checking this post. i had an automatic civic 98 ex coupe before and i only install a big exsaust tailpipe. the outcome was lowback pressure and my engine got mess up. but now i got a civic 97 ex coupe manual and i was wondering if i get a complete exsuast kit install into it would the engine get mess up too? can sum1 help me cuz i just want to know is a complete exsuast kit on a manual okie for the car?

A lot of people have exhausts on their manual cars, just don't beat the crap out of it and you should be fine.
