Recommended Tire Pressure for 1997 Civic EX Coupe?
Please post Honda's recommended tire pressure for the 1997 Civic EX Coupe, as shown in the owner's manual.
I am asking ONLY to find out what pressure is recommended in the owner's manual. (NOT something else you think is better, etc.)
Thank you in advance.

I keep mine around 35-37 on regular roads, jack it up to 42 before I make long highway trips.
I have a '97 EX Coupe, Stock Y8 motor.

I am pretty sure the placard sticker on the driver's door says 32PSI on my 2000 EX (I am going by memory because I am at work and the car is about a 600yard walk to check). I will update my post if it is wrong.

My apologies.

I'm running 50 psi in my HX tires... rides brittle as hell!
Last time I was at Discount Tires having my Pirellis rotated & balanced - all the guys in the bay were hovering around my car - checked out my wheels.
I don't like ppl messing around with my ride, and I was kinda manic and paranoid anyway, sooo...
I went over to the desk and asked, "What's going on out there?"
He guy was like, "Huh?"
"Oh," hey said "They're just checking out the wear patterns on your tires. Never seen anything like that before!"
Bwahahahaha!

Hey, for uhh...repentance for mis-reading earlier, I looked it up in my '97 Shop manual...
It says for tire pressure: "See tire information label" - so it's obviously dependent on what tire they were using at the time.
Then it just kinda hit me - why is this question even being asked? It says it on the door jam of the car. So I figured either you didn't know this, or your sticker has been damaged/removed. So I took the liberty of looking at my own as I probably won't see this thread again.
Stock tire size: 185/60R-14, cold tire pressure: 30psi front, 29 psi rear
That's straight from the horses mouth so to speak...pretty damn low if you ask me.

Honda CiViCs are basically girl's cars... let me rephrase that...
Honda CiViCs were marketed mostly to women as a work/school car - and/or for a 'second car' when the SUV is in use - making lipstick n' hairspray runs to Walgreen's - yada, yada, yada...
All they care about is the cell phone doesn't fall off the dashboard, and the shift **** doesn't wiggle!
There's NO WAY I'd run 30 psi in ANY vehicle I own...

Me neither man, but that's what it says on the door panel, lol.
He asked, I told. The owners manual is irrelevant - it says to see the tire info.

Bah! That's for the OEM tires...
Syndacate was right - "see the tire info".
Look what Pirelli recommends for my tires...

Thanks, everyone.
I'm asking because another guy was asking and claims it doesn't say on his door and he says he doesn't have an owner's manual. (I know, clueless. )
The tire recommendation is, as a general rule, a good place to start. If you want, you're welcome to adjust it as you like - going a little higher if you want a bit better cornering or if your tires are wearing more along both edges than in the middle, going a little lower if you want better ride comfort or if your tires are wearling more in the middle than along the edges.
