ok...i lock myself out of my car yesterday and the car was on for about 3 hour'ish with the heat blasting. it's about 10 deg or so out and snowing like a MF'er. when i got in the car to drive home. i notice the temp gauge still sitting on the cold side. but the heat was hot as hell. i got out of the parking lot and it started to go up a lil, until about the HW( 4 block away) it got back to nor, a lil under the half way mark( if that)

B18A freshly rebuild about 2,500K mile ago. all new everything from oil pan gasket to valve cover. 98' ITR piston new OEM rings,main bearing, rods bearing,thrust washer, new RAD( 50/50 mix coolant and distill H20) new T.stat, new wp/tb. i clean all the IVAC, new TPS senor and TB gasket. no leaks, no burn oil.

just did a oc and tranny fuild, new O2 this pass weekend. no CEL
everything was rebuild by me. i have no problem what so ever with this motor. just cant figure it out, why would the temp still be cool when the car sat for 3 on .

And everything is back to normal now? Probably just a cold spot or air pocket that got trapped up by the temp sensor and as soon as you started revving/moving/stirring up the coolant it got that warm coolant to the sensor.

 

yes the car was acting normal. guess i got to bleed the coolant system again.
