From what I've read, the OEM exhaust is just as good as any aftermarket, very free flowing. You can read all about it in the FAQ thread also I believe

I loved the WS exhaust. I had one on my 2003 and it was very quiet at regular driving and it opened up and sounded amazing at high revs. The cabin noise was almost non existent! I also got a hell of a deal on it so I was happy about that.

The reason for this is that this muffler is baffled. This restricts air-flow!

I understand that the exhaust is more restrictive then say a Buddy Club Spec II or something similar, but for someone who is trying to get a little more performance out of their vehicle and add an aggresive exhaust sound (not obnoxious and loud) this is a great choice. I feel that it did not have a huge impact on the performance of my car but I do know that it helped slightly even if I couldn't feel it on the ol' butt dyno.

To the OP this is a great exhaust and Tanabe also make sone called the Hyper Medallion.
