94 teg has trouble starting :(
Hey guys, I got a 94 integra ls, I've been having trouble with my car not starting, at first I thought it might be the actual starter, until I was in a parking lot one day trying to get it started, some nice guy came up and asked me if I needed help and told me to pop the hood, He said it sounded like my coil was going bad and pointed to my distributor cap. At first i thought he didn't know what he was talking about but then he described my problem to the T. It's worse on cold days, when you try to start it, it kind of seems like the battery is dead, (not turning over) but actually battery does have juice. Anyway does this sound accurate to you guys? If so how much is this part, and whats the level of difficulty on replacing it? Thanks in advance gentlemen, I appreciate it.
Does it just turn over and over and just doesnt start? If so he is almost right, probably need to get a new distributor cap, rotary cap and ignition coil.... that'll run you about 90-100$ for all 3 parts
no it doesn't turn over at all, i just hear a clicking noise, kinda like if you were trying to start the car, and the battery was near dead.
May just be your battery or starter then... If not this is beyond my knowledge...
Also may want to check into looking at your spark plugs and cleaning your injectors
