Default aem ems question

Ok so im gettin a b18c5 out of a 98 teg type r. the car is turbocharged and running on an aem ems standalone unit. I'll be droppin the whole shebang in my EF. If i want to leave everything on the engine as is, and use the AEM EMS in my car. Whats the best way to go about doing this?

can i use an obd0-obd2 ecu jumper to make my ecu connections in the car match up to the EMS system, and then get the rywire engine harness conversion? or is that completely ridiculous?
