Okay so my daily-driver Civic is starting to act up, I'm driving down the road and it starts making a scraping sound from the front right side of the car.
It usually makes the noise after going over a bump, but often just starts randomly too.
Pumping the brakes while driving changes the pitch of the noise before fixing it for a short period of time.
It makes the noise and can be fixed by pumping the brake while it's in neutral as well.
It sounds to me like it's coming from the front right wheel, it's not the engine as the noise doesn't follow the RPMs, it follows car speed, even while in neutral.

I'm in college and really poor, if you know what it is please try to include anything I can do to postpone fixing it, or fix it myself.

check your brake calipers if they're rubbing in any way
check the underbody to see if there's any loose plastics
check suspension

 

Sounds like it could be your wheel bearing, jack the car up and see if the wheel
moves. good luck
