Okay first thing, random plug behind the passenger side seat. Where does it go?

Distributor issue: the distributor on my car is one big plug with 8 wires total:

While the wiring harness is two plugs with 9 wires total:

We're thinking about saudering the wires but what to do with the extra wire?
Where does this plug go?

Annddddd... there is some hole in like the transmission... what goes there?

Thankkkkkkkk you for any help!

1) ABS ECU
2) Main plug to distributor
3) plug on the left looks like the reverse switch plug, right, have no idea
4) Dont recall
5) That is your VSS, that means there is a plug that is still dangling somewhere, it needs to be replaced entirely. Like somebody snapped it off.

entire assembly should look like this:

green...starter? you mean wire color or plug. the plug for the starter is just a sinlge wire with a blade connector, not sure on the color of the wire. but the green 4pin? goes to the alternator.

Incase the OP returns to this thread here is a tid bit.
The MAP and TPS sensor plug are the same. Be sure you get the 2 hooked up to the correct sensor. If not, you can and probably will fry those 2 circuits in your ecu. If I find the link were it shows the damage that can occur again, I'll post the link.

I did this when I changed my car to OBD-1, it just idled like a cammed to hell v8 and would not drive at all. Switched the 2 connectors and it was all good.

it was just unbolted it appears. Even the little key is still in there. If the top half can be located, it alone can probably be replaced. The gear portion of it is probably fine.
