I'm getting ready to put my d16z6 into my 98 dx and i hear you can use the throttle cable. Some people say you can't i know it may be a little long. What cable do you all suggest i use? and will the dx cable work for me for the time being?

 

Try looking for a 96-98 civic EX throttle cable.
I ran my DX throttle cable with my c5 for a while. And it was indeed too long.
Every once in awhile it would bind and it felt like there was a rock under my pedal.
I just had to step on the pedal numerous times until it became free.


The DX cable will have a huge loop in it.
So glad i switched cables.
