Default Powering a headlight?

Ok i dont know where this would go, but i have a question about how to power a headlight. Well its for a class of mine and i need to figure how i can power up one of my headlights in class... its a spare integra headlight i have. i wanted to also use a hid kit i just bought but haven't used yet. All i need to do is figure out how to like power it on ?? Would i need a car battery? Is their any alternatives? like what gauge wires, fuses, switch would i need? This is for a demonstration! Sorry i didnt know where to put this besides the integra thread since i own an integra and i am using the headlight :D

Thank you HT!

Unless you have an A/C to 12v power converter then a car battery will be best (keep in mind the converter will have to be able to supply 65w (or whatever watt it is)). I cant remember what voltage computers work off of, but an old computer power supply might work if it is 12v. You can wire a switch inline, pretty simple install or just hook the wire to your power source.
