I need a power supply for a Batronix burner
To those that have made a power supply for the Batronix, please post a parts list and a brief schematic. And also, how does it connect into the Batronix?

find the voltage info on the website, then go down to radio shack and get a power supply that has the changeable adapter heads. Don't forget to bring the batronix with you so you can try out the heads.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything at radio shack either.
What I did was use two 9 volt batteries and connect them in series. Radio Shack sells the little 9 volt battery tabs/connectors too. That'll give you 18 volts which is well within the working voltage of the batronix. Has worked fine for me so far since I just need to burn a couple of roms. Plus it's portable so you can burn roms in your car.
Just make sure there isn't a eprom in the burner when you hook things up. You also might want to wire a power switch inline or a connector so you can quickly disconnect the power pack.
You can also ask the batronix board what they use.

Re: I need a power supply for a Batronix burner (Rain_man)
How many volts and amps is the Batronix suposed to work off of?
And where exactly do you plug the power wires into . To the left of the parallell jack there's these little things but I cant really tell what kind of plug they need.
and for the 9V battery thing, hook the positive of one battery to the positive of the burner. Then hook that battery's negative to the other battery's positive. Then hook that battery's negative to the batronix?

I can't remember the exact voltage the batronix uses, but it's between 16 to 20. I just remember when I was looking for a way to power the programmer, 18 volts was perfect.
In the case of the battery, don't worry about the amp requirement. If you were buying a power supply, then you would have to worry about it.
I just inserted the + and - wire into the programmer and tightened the screw terminals. They don't use a plug or at least not one that I know of.
For the 9 volt battery setup, you'll have a red and black wire coming off each battery. Connect the red wire of one battery to the blk wire of the other. You should now be left with 1 free red and 1 free black wire. Connect those into the screw terminals on the batronix. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T REVERSE THE WIRES. If I remember correctly, the programmer is fused, but why take any chances.

Re: (94goldjungsr)
The one that I got from radio shack is 12v 500mA. You cut off the plug, strip the wiring, then stick them into the two holes, make sure you match - with - and + with +.
I fucked up my DIY burner, so I snapped and bought the USB one too. At least now I can burn wherever I go
