Default first time engine swap

I have a few questions because this is my first time doing a full motor swap. my vehicle is a 1989 crx hf.
1. can I remove the motor with out taking out the tranny?
2. will any d series motor bolt up to my tranny?

I an currently trying to find a motor from a 88-91 si so I can use my harness and and new ecu. (D16A6)

Default Re: first time engine swap (civicxxman)

its is A LOT easier to remove trans with the engine and any d series trans will bolt up but if u dont get a cable trans u will have to use a hydro to cable conversion kit and the best trans for this swap is a cable si trans
