currently i have Redline stuff, some one told me that it is the best MTF. i dono about that, but tranny will grind 2,3,4 gears if i wont shift smoothly, and rev match 3rd to get in. i am about to get some GM Synchromesh FM and try that.

I like to use the GM syncromesh friction modified. It fixed my grinds, and felt smoother than regular honda mtf.

You can get it from CERTAIN GM product dealers. Some of them only have it in pumps. I think the pontiac dealer is the only GM dealer around here that actually has it in bottles. It's like $10-15 a bottle or something.

NEVER use synthetic oil in a Honda trans dude!

Only HMTF or non-synthetic 10w30

honda MTF - Works very good, No grinds.

GM synchromesh - Expensive, Hard to fine, GM dealershiper won't sell it to Honda/Acura people, Heard good things about it, never tried it.

royal purple synchromax Same a Redline - Too Slippery

redline - Too Slippery

pennziol synchromesh - Equally as good as Honda MTF

I just changed my Tranny fluild 3 months ago, I had to experiment with Honda MTF, Redline, Royal Purple, and Pennzoil. I let all of them brake in at 600 miles before I drained it out. Overall, I'd stuck with the Honda MTF. My transmission was rebuilt, so I didn't have any problem. But I felt a smooother, less slippery shifting with it.

Honda has remade their Honda MTF manual Transmission fluid better with a newer one. I suggest you try that one.

Isn't Honda MTF Idemitsu synthetic? It smells like synthetic oil with a little bit of hypoid lube or something. I could be wrong. But I'm usually not.
