96 civic cluster no light in needle
my cluster's needle to my speedometer/fuel/thermometer does not have a brightened needle. As in at night i cant see the needle as good. is there a DIY on how to brighten my needle? i recently switched to amber blubs as well. i can post pics of my cluster later on tonight cause im in school right now aha.. thanks.
take out the cluster and check or replace the bulbs on top i had the same problem and it was because the bulbs on mine were taken out since previous owner had indiglo gauges on so check the bulbs

Really???I have never seen SI clusters with light up needles. Please prove me otherwise with a pic and the year of which these so called SI clusters come with lighted needles.

oo my needle looks like it does not light up. i jus checked =[ i might look into buying a Si cluster now. lol darn
Check the top two bulbs above the cluster. With either of them burnt, the gauge faces will be hard to read.
All 96-00 Civic (and 97-01 CRV for that matter) clusters have these top two bulbs. The needles don't light up like the Integra needles.

i recently got a 94 civic needle that is clear and am hoping it will light up. i was wondering what everyone thinks about succesfully removing the needle and what are the risks? mabye some pictures? thanks
