Without removing anything, how can I restore the original look of the turn signals?

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this sort of stuff...I mentioned in another thread how the only 'upgrade' I've done to my car is replacing the traditional wipers with Rain-X Latitude wipers.

What grit sand paper and what kind of polish should I use?

 

So if I unscrew the two front facing screws, it'll remove the foggy clear cover and I can just replace it?

there was a thing on here where a guy used toothpaste to polish them and it worked pretty well

I'm about to pull out the ol' Colgate right now and try it.

It was too dark outside, so that ended that.

I'll do it tomorrow and post pictures.

 

wet sand by hand with 2000 grit paper, then polish with some meguiars plastX. good as new

I'm gonna try CLR on my headlights I'll let you know how that turns out
