Default Car starts then dies, no prove out circuit

Ok, the car's an 89 si w/ about 272k miles on the body-b16a1 swap.

I have a new dizzy on it w/ about 3k miles on it and just put a new main relay on it today. My problem is that I was driving home from tech school today and the car just died. Well...I was Having main relay issues but that didnt fix it, had the car towed home where it is now.

When I turn the key to start, the prove out circuit doesnt work(none of the dash lights come on). The car turns over and starts but then immediately dies, i'm thinking something to do w/ the ignition switch maybe? HELP! I have school to go to!

If no lights come on, Check all your fuses!

Also, did you replace the main relay with a new one or used one?
While holding the relay, Does it click on and off??

Also..update, when I turn the key all the way to start w/o the clutch in the lights come on and the pump primes. Keep the ideas coming! Thanks!

Yeah, the relay was replaced w/ a brand new oem from honda

60 bucks though...

So then check your clutch switch behind the clutch pedal...

Jump the 2 wires in that clip and start your car.

Mine did the same thing, start and die quick. My main relay was only clicking once. Are you sure its not your main relay?

Also remove your column cover and check your ignition switch...

alright, i'm thinking it's the ignition switch. Let's look at it this way, it has the 3 settings on the switch.
Numerals I, II, and the third one.

I can put it to on, being II and toggle it a bit and the lights will come on and the car starts and runs.

If I cut it off and do it without jiggling the key it will start and just shut off. Can the ignition switch on these cars cut power to the main relay at any time?
