XM® or SIRIUS™
Many cars come with with XM (GM) or Sirius (Ford). I've been seeing a lot other makes that offer both.
For example, both Subaru and Lexus offers you a choice of XM® or SIRIUS™. How does it work? Do owners have a choice to go back and forth? Or does the dealer set it to one or the other, and that's it? How does it work?
I heard (read) that if you have a XM system, it's almost impossible (worth it) to convert to Sirius. True?

True - I had a Sirius plug n play radio in my old car, but have changed to XM in my new Honda... Not by choice.
I have the Civic EX-L with Navi and no one seems to be able to convert this radio to Sirius, without completely changing my radio.....
I canceled my Sirius subscription and I am hoping for the merger, between the two companies.
FYI -Sirius is much better, IMO.

And it won't interfere with my Navi system?
Will it still be voice activated?
Will the radio work exactly the same way, as it does now, with XM radio?
Sirius referred me to a couple differnet companies, because they didn't want to lose a subscriber, but both companies said they couldn't help me with my radio.
I would be intersted in learning more about this.... I like Sirius better than XM.

My current GM car has XM. My wife will be looking for a car in a year. I don't want her to be limited to "XM" cars.
So the bottom line is I'm not "stuck" to one of the other. I can change if I want to. So would any stereo shop able to do it for me using the OEM radio? I would not want a receiver on dash and wires all over the place.
