crx engine removal question

Default crx engine removal question

trying to take the motor out of my 88 hf, and being held up by the rear trans mount, the one that has the 3 bolts holding it on, i cant break em loose, and i cant even get to the one going through the center, has anyone else ran into this, any pointers?

The rear mount has 1 bolt going through it....remove that and leave the bracket on the motor.

Soak the bolt with PB blaster or wd40

Use a 1/2"inch drive breaker bar and you can reach it from under the hood!

First soak the bolts in PB Blaster. Let it sit for a couple mins.

Then, go at it with your socket wrench. I used a 1/2 drive, 12" extension, 6" extension, and a six point bolt (I think 14mm). You could also use a breaker bar and have more torque if its a real PITA.
