I learned at school that etching all of your personal belongings with your drivers licence will give you a better chance in getting your stuff back if the thieves are caught. If a thief knows you have permately etched your drivers license on all of your parts he will have a really hard time selling them. Keep a list of your tagged parts and give copies to the police if the time comes.

 

Isnt this like writing your name on your basketball in grade school so you'd get it back if the big kids stole it?

You etch it so it wont get stolen, and they will etch it again when they steal it

not to call you stupid but all the oem panel has VIN number on it, you can ask you dealer to etch in the vin in the glass for additional fee.

all the motor and trans has vin tag on them also, this is why the popo check all that whenever they pull you over for stolen parts.

 

i think you guys should date^. Back on topic i thought about putting my name on my parts but i always install and forget too

 

coulddnt you just grind off whatever you wrote on and paint it back? if it happens it happens.

i was talking about head units, wheels, strutbars, steering wheels.............cuz you know some kid is going to put all of your parts on his car. if they scratch it out it even looks more suspiscious. some parts will never be found by the police, but thieves get pulled over and searched sometimes, who knows an extra hot part on his car can turn into a full set of stolen stuff

 

and then you can never sell any of your stuff because it has..

your name
your phone number
your address
your social security number
your vin number
your driver license number

......your mom puts your name in your tighty whities doesn't she?
