ok...so i was pulling out my harness, i went to disconnect the two big plugs on the drivers side and a lil green wire got snagged and pulled out. im just curious what this wire is for.

Finnaly a reason for me to post ..been a member for a little while and mostly just read

In case you cant tell in the pic its the green one next to the plugged blank spot in the plug

Any help with what the function of this wire is would be great thx

get urself a wireing diagram and trace it to see what it is

What harness is this for? Car? Motor?

 

you need to push that pin back out, and make sure the wire is in that clamp fairly well.

and there's no way i'm digging through the manual to tell you what the wire is for..good luck on that one.

 

It's somewhat irrelevant what it's for since fixing it isn't too hard. Pop the pin out from the other side of the clip, repinch the pin onto the wire, and then reinsert the wire into the clip.

 

97 civic hx -- d15b swap but thats irrelivent its the stock obd2 harness .. currently getting modified ...


i know how to fix it i was just curious what the wire is for so if i was having problems down the road id know wheather that wire might be the problem

basically just wanted to know for peace of mind .. its already fixed

 

well i found out that the wire goes to a sensor plug i no longer use due to obd1 motor thx neway
