The year would be a good start as each of them had thier own quirks.

Clean title or Salvaged title? Any mods? Check engine light on or off? Tire ware... Body damage, any leaks (tranny, oil leak etc...), make sure the car is not rusted from the snow or rain if any... Doesnt look abused...etc

other than what's already been said, people will normally tell you to do a leakdown/compression test like stated above. with higher mileage integras rebuilds maaaay be in order (if they've been run hard). integras (or i should say the b series engines) are notorious for minor oil leaks/burning. hiher mileage cars will have suspension/bushing issues, possibly. i picked up a near 200k gsr not too long ago and am going through taking care of many maintance issues and... doing a whole engine rebuild ... it all comes down to how much you bought it for, how much you want to invest into it to get it up to par, and WHETHER OR NOT YOU CAN KEEP SCUMBAG THIEVES off your car via, hopefully, a garage, and layers and layers of security. theft is a MAJOR issue that you're not dealing with nearly as much with your prelude.

if you just searched "integra buying" you would have found this: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2200429

good luck!

all depends on how the motor was ran, my ls had 175k on it, and was force inducted for half of those miles, and is still good. now has 210k no leaks, leak down test was fine 245-250 all accross. but i guess the guy who had it before me took care of the maintanance.

Was the timing belt/water pump done? 90K is when the service is due and costs about $600 for an independent mechanic to do.

very good question if you don't want to do it yourself or shell out the 5-7 hundred bucks to have it done

Cool. Check the brake pads, does the brake pedal sink down at all?
Does the rear hatch open with the lever located on the trunk?
Power antenna work?
A/C blowing cold while the car is idling.
Any wrecks, look for overspray -
Doesn't hurt to (with car off) take off oil cap on engine and use a flashlight to look in and see if there is any gunk. Check engine oil level. I didn't check on my first integra and later the same week after buying it checked it and freaked out because it was off the dipstick. It ended up not being that bad about a quart and a half that it drank every oil change but still.

If you feel comfortable, floor the car and keep an eye in the rearview mirror or better yet have someone following you and see how much smoke and color of it is coming out the exhaust.

I usually take my cars to the mechanic to get it checked out. They notice things like leaking power steering pumps and can see if there was ever any frame damage with it up on the rack.
