anyone know where i can get a used tranny? these are harder to find then any other tranny i found in the past.

i have a friend that owes a junkyard he said he will sell me a used 98 v6 tranny for 300$ is it worth it???let me kno people

used or rebuilt? if it is used and has, let's say 100k on it, you may be looking at doing this again in a year or so.

 

well 300$ an 100$ to put it in...but you guys are saying i have to do it again in about a year...? well i think i blew my transmission to tell you the truth its a automatic an what i always did and im not going to lie its stupid but i threw it in nuetral and reved it and then put it in d4 i know lol...i was stupid but i did that always for a good like 6 months...i would be driving and then throw it in nuetral and then bak to drive....but i learned my lesson now thats why i have to replace my transmission.

 

If you buy the used transmission then rebuild it before you put it in and you will have yourself a new transmission.

 

how much does it cost to rebuild a tranny?

 

about 1000$ to 1500$ but if u get a used transmission like at a junk yard you can get it cheaper like i found one for 300$
